TVP produced the independent feature film SAWNEY: Flesh of Man which tells the legend of Scottish cannibal Sawney Bean and his murderous, inbred family. Set in present day Scotland, this is a horror / thriller story of Sawney Bean (played by David Hayman) and his family of cannibal serial killers, whose ancestors date back centuries. The legend suggests that the brood were responsible for over 1000 murders.
The World Premiere for the film took place at the Empire Cinema, Leicester Square, London as part of Fright Fest 2012. The film was retitled for release in North America as Lord of Darkness and was distributed across North America by Lionsgate Films.
